Scheduling, Drafts, and the Notify Me Option

How does publishing content work in the Scheduler?

Written by Kylee Masilongan

How publishing works in the Scheduler

Once your post is ready, you have four ways to publish it:

  • Schedule → Post at a specific date and time

  • Post now → Publish immediately

  • Save as draft → Finish later

  • Notify me → Get a reminder to post manually

Scheduling a post

To schedule a post:

  1. Set your desired date

  2. Select a time

  3. Confirm your time zone

  4. Click Schedule

Your post will be published automatically at the selected time.

Most posts are published within 1–2 minutes of the scheduled time, depending on the platform.

Time zone settings

  • The Scheduler uses your device’s time zone by default

  • You can change the time zone when scheduling a post

  • Your selected time zone will be saved for future posts

Posting immediately

If you want to publish right away:

  1. Click Post Now

Your content will be sent to all selected platforms immediately.

Saving drafts

If your post isn’t ready yet:

  1. Click Save as draft

Your draft will be saved so you can:

  • Edit it later

  • Schedule it when ready

  • Delete it if needed

Using the Notify Me option

The Notify me option is useful if you prefer to post manually.

Instead of auto-posting, Storyy will:

  • Send you a notification before your scheduled time

  • Remind you to post the content yourself

This is especially helpful if:

  • You prefer posting natively inside apps

  • You want more control over the final post

  • You’re using a platform that doesn’t support auto-posting

How notifications work

When you use Notify me:

  • You’ll receive an email and/or mobile notification

  • The notification will be sent shortly before your scheduled time

  • You can then open the platform and post manually

When to use each option

Use Schedule if:

  • You want posts to go out automatically

  • You’re planning content in advance

Use Post now if:

  • You want to publish immediately

Use Save as draft if:

  • Your content isn’t finalized

Use Notify me if:

  • You prefer to post manually

  • You’re planning content but want to stay hands-on

What’s next?

Now that you know how to publish your posts, the next step is learning how to view and manage them.
