How AI caption generation works

When you upload media to the Scheduler, Storyy automatically analyzes your content and generates captions for you.

This includes:

  • Captions tailored to each platform

  • Titles for platforms like YouTube

  • Platform-specific formatting and tone

All of this is based on:

  • Your uploaded media

  • Your brand information

  • Platform best practices

What the AI looks at

The AI analyzes your content to understand:

  • What’s happening in the video or image

  • The overall message or topic

  • Context from your brand (if available)

From there, it generates captions that are optimized for each platform.

When captions are generated

Captions are generated automatically when:

  • You upload media

  • You haven’t written a caption yet

You can stop the generation at any time if needed.

Editing and refining captions

You’re always in control of the final result.

You can:

  • Edit captions manually

  • Replace the generated text

  • Make quick tweaks for tone or clarity

Using “Describe” to guide the AI

If the caption isn’t quite right, you can guide the AI.

  1. Click Describe

  2. Enter what you want the caption to focus on

  3. Generate a new version

Example:

  • “Make this more educational”

  • “Focus on real estate tips”

  • “Add a stronger call to action”

Using “Adapt To Other Platforms”

If you already like a caption on one platform:

  1. Click Adapt To Other Platforms

  2. Our app will rewrite it for the other selected platforms

This helps you stay consistent while still optimizing for each platform.

Customizing AI per platform

You can control how captions are generated for each platform.

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Click Posting Platforms

  3. Select a platform

  4. Adjust the caption settings

You can customize:

  • Tone (casual, professional, etc.)

  • Caption length

  • Style preferences

These settings are used every time AI generates captions for that platform.

Important notes

  • AI works best when media is clear and complete

  • Video analysis may take a few seconds to a few minutes depending on length

  • Shorter videos (around 1 minute) generate faster results

Tips for best results

  • Upload high-quality media

  • Add brand information during onboarding

  • Use Describe to refine instead of starting from scratch

  • Customize each platform for better performance
