Written by Kylee Masilongan

Before you start

Make sure you’ve connected at least one social account:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Click Posting Platforms

  3. Connect your account

How to create a post

  1. Go to the Scheduler

  2. Click New Post/Schedule Publish

  3. Select the platforms you want to post to

  4. Upload your media

  5. Add or generate your caption

  6. Choose how you want to publish

Selecting platforms

At the top of the post composer, you’ll see your connected accounts.

  • Select the platforms you want to post to

  • You can post to multiple platforms at once

  • You can also unselect platforms at any time

Uploading media

You can upload:

  • Videos

  • Images

  • Multiple images (carousel posts)

  • PDFs (for LinkedIn)

You can upload media from your device or your Storyy library. If you upload multiple images, the post will automatically be treated as a carousel where supported.

Adding your caption

You have a few options:

  • Write your caption manually

  • Use AI to generate a caption

  • Edit and refine the generated caption

Once media is uploaded, Storyy can automatically suggest a caption based on your content.

Using AI to generate captions

After uploading your media:

  • Storyy analyzes your content

  • AI also generates titles for platforms like YouTube

  • Captions are generated based on your brand info + the uploaded media

You can also:

  • Click Describe to guide the caption

  • Adjust tone based on your needs

Using Adapt to other platforms

If you’ve written or generated a caption for one platform, you can quickly create versions for the others.

  • Click Adapt to other platforms

  • Storyy will rewrite the caption for each platform

This saves time while still keeping content optimized per platform.

Platform-specific settings

Each platform may show different options, such as:

  • TikTok visibility settings

  • Instagram collaborators

  • YouTube title and tags

These will appear automatically based on the platform you select.

Previewing your post

Before publishing, you can:

  • Review your caption

  • Check how your post will look

  • Make final edits

Choosing how to publish

At the top of the post, you can choose:

  • Schedule → Select a specific day and time for the Scheduler to handle automatic posting

  • Post now → Publish immediately

  • Save As Draft → Finish later

  • Notify me → Get a reminder to post manually

Time zone settings

  • The Scheduler follows your computer’s time zone by default

  • You can change the time zone when scheduling a post

  • Your selected time zone will be saved for future posts

Saving drafts

If you’re not ready to publish:

  • Click Save as draft

  • Your post will appear in your drafts list

  • You can edit and schedule it later

What’s next?

Once you’ve created a post, you can start optimizing it for each platform.
