Overview:
Brain Dump helps you turn a rough thought into content you can record. Share an idea by chat or voice, choose a suggested topic, or upload content for inspiration. Brain Dump will ask a few questions, then create a script or talking points based on your conversation.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open Brain Dump
From the Storyy dashboard, find Brain Dump under “What do you want to create today?” and click the card.
2. Choose Chat Mode or Voice Mode
Use the switch at the top of the page to choose how you want to brainstorm:
Chat Mode: Type into the “Type your idea…” box and send your message.
Voice Mode: Talk through your idea instead. You can end Voice Mode when you’re ready.
You can start with an unfinished thought. Brain Dump will ask questions to help you develop it. If you need a starting point, choose one of the suggested topics above the message box.
3. Add content for inspiration (optional)
Click the + button beside the message box to add content. Choose Browse Files to upload from your device or From Library to use content already saved in Storyy. Then tell Brain Dump what kind of video ideas you want to explore based on it.
4. Choose your output
Click the output selector beside the + button. You can choose:
Length: Short Form for videos up to 3 minutes, or Long Form for scripts longer than 3 minutes.
Style: Script for word-for-word text, or Talking points for a few cues per section that you can explain in your own words.
5. Talk through your idea
Answer Brain Dump’s follow-up questions and share any examples, experiences, or key points you want included. When it asks whether you’re ready for it to write, you can continue brainstorming or tell it to go ahead.
6. Open and review the result
When your content is ready, click View script. Review what Brain Dump created and make any changes you need. You can also continue chatting to ask for a different angle or wording that sounds more like you.
7. Record your content
From the script page, use Record or Teleprompter when you’re ready to film. Once your recording is ready, submit it to our editing team through a Project Request.
Tip: The more specific you are about your audience, message, and personal experience, the more useful your finished script or talking points will be.
