Overview
When submitting a new project or updating a draft, you don't always have to upload files directly from your computer. If you've previously saved assets in your Storyy Library, you can easily pull them directly into your project! This guide will show you how to add videos from your library to both new and existing draft projects.
Adding a Video to a New Project
1. Start a New Project
In the Storyy dashboard, look to the top of the left-hand sidebar and click the + Create button.
2. Select Project Request
From the options that appear, click on Project Request.
3. Name Your Project
Input your desired Project Name in the text field provided, then click Next.
4. Choose Project Type
Select the appropriate Project Type for your content, then click Next.
5. Access Upload Options
You will now be in the "Upload Content" section. Click on the Upload button. You will see a dropdown with three main options, plus one additional option on the right:
Browse Files: Upload directly from your computer or device.
From Library: Choose assets already saved in your Storyy account.
Open Camera: Record something new on the spot.
Add Link: Paste a link to external files (located on the top right side of the upload box).
6. Select 'From Library'
Click on From Library. A window displaying your Storyy Library will pop up. Browse through and select the assets you want to include in your project, then click Upload.
7. Complete Submission
Once your files are attached, proceed with the remaining project submission steps to finalize your request!
Adding a Video to an Existing Draft
If you have a project in draft mode and realize you need to add a video from your library, follow these steps:
1. Open the Draft Project
Navigate to Project Requests on the left sidebar and click on the Drafts section. Proceed to click on the drafted project you want to update.
2. Go to the Content Section
Within the draft, locate the Content section and click the Upload button.
3. Select "From Library"
Choose the From Library option from the dropdown menu to browse your stored videos.
4. Add Your Files
Select the file(s) you need and hit Upload. Your files will instantly be added to your draft project.
FAQs
Can I upload both new videos and videos from my library to the same project?
Yes! You can mix and match uploads directly from your device with assets saved in your Storyy library within the same project.
What if I don’t see my videos in the library?
Make sure the videos were previously uploaded and successfully saved in your library. If you know they should be there but they are missing, try refreshing the page or re-uploading the assets.
Can I replace a video in my project with one from my library?
If the project is still in Drafts, you can freely remove and re-upload videos as needed. However, once a project has been submitted, any changes will need to be requested through the formal revision process.
