How do I complete the self-onboarding process?

Self-Onboarding Guide

Written by Kylee Masilongan

Overview

Welcome to Storyy! Our self-onboarding process is designed to quickly learn about your brand so we can provide tailored content ideas and suggestions. This guide walks you through the initial setup, from sharing your brand details to defining your content pillars and brand vibe.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Sign Up or Log In

Start by navigating to the Storyy app at https://app.storyy.co/. Sign up for a new account or log in if you already have one.

2. Welcome Screen

Once logged in, you'll be greeted with the "Welcome to Storyy!" screen, which initiates the onboarding process.

3. Choose Your Onboarding Method

We offer three easy ways for the app to learn about your brand. Choose the one that works best for you:

  • Analyze my website: Simply paste your website URL. The app will study it and automatically gather information to fill out your brand profile.

  • Interview Me: The app will ask you a few questions to better understand your brand. You can answer these over chat or voice.

  • Answer a short questionnaire: Tell us about your brand by filling out a quick, straightforward form.

4. Review Your Brand Info

After you provide your information, the app will generate a summary of your brand. Please review this carefully! The app uses this information to improve our suggestions and tailor-fit content specifically for you. Click Next when you are done reviewing.

5. Set Your Content Pillars

Based on the information you fed the app, it will recommend five core content pillars that your audience cares about. These pillars guide our content recommendations. You are completely free to tap the + icon to add your own pillar, remove existing ones, or click Generate suggestions to get new ideas. Click Next to proceed.

6. Define Your Brand Vibe

Next, you'll see a screen titled "Words that describe your brand." Here's how AI sees your brand's personality. The app generates keywords categorized into:

  • Is (e.g., Efficient, Trustworthy, Creative)

  • Is Not (e.g., Generic, Slow)

  • Is Kind Of (e.g., Flexible)

You can refine this by dragging and dropping the words between categories or clicking the trash can icon to remove them. You can also click Regenerate for a new set of words.

7. Finish Onboarding

Once you've arranged the words to perfectly describe your brand vibe, click on Done! You'll see a "Got it! now let's start creating" screen, meaning your onboarding is complete and you are ready to start using Storyy.
